Northwest District

Clallam County

Clallam Branch

Clallam Branch AAUW Scholarship, $1,000. One award.
Criteria: Peninsula College graduate transferring to a four-year program and demonstrated academic achievement, school and community contributions.

Clallam AAUW Branch Scholarship, $1,000. Two awards.
Criteria: Sequim High School girl and Port Angeles High School girl accepted at four-year college or university.

Island County

Whidbey Island Branch

Whidbey Island AAUW Scholarship, $1,000. Three awards.
Criteria: Female graduating from a Whidbey Island high schools.  One award for each high school on Whidbey Island.

An all island scholarship in memory of Susan Blank, to be awarded to a female art student planning to go to college or art school.  Information on this $1,000 scholarship can be obtained from the high school art teachers.

Jefferson County

Port Townsend Branch

Port Townsend AAUW Branch Elmira K. Beyer Scholarship, full tuition up to $5,000.
Criteria: Resident of Jefferson County for at least two years, completed one year of college, is returning to college.

Port Townsend AAUW Branch Scholarship, $500. 3 Available.
Criteria: GPA 3.25 or better, financial need, strong record of activities, letters of recommendation, enrolling college or university ultimately to pursue bachelor's degree.

Skagit County

Anacortes Branch

Anacortes AAUW Branch Scholarship, $1,000. One award.
Criteria: Odd years: Anacortes high school graduate in junior or senior year at college. Even years: Woman returning to school and/or head of household.

Mount Vernon Branch

Mount Vernon AAUW Branch Scholarship, $300-$500. One award.
Criteria: Local community college student continuing to a four-year college or university.

Snohomish County - North

Everett Branch

The Everett Branch offers scholarships to Everett Community College women planning to pursue bachelor's degrees.  In 2007 we awarded one scholarship of $500; in 2008 we will award 2 $500 scholarships, in conjunction with an Everett business Zoal Precision Machinery.


Stanwood-Camano Island Branch

Two $2750 scholarships

Requirements:

You must be a current resident of the Arlington, Stanwood, or Camano Island area OR be a graduate of Lakewood, Arlington, Stanwood, or Lincoln Hill High Schools.

You must have completed at least two years of study at an accredited college or university by June 2007 and have verifiable plans to continue upper-division or  graduate work at an accredited four-year college or university in the fall of 2007.

All students who meet these requirements are encouraged to apply.

Criteria: Western Washington University student.

Bellingham AAUW Branch Scholarship, $500. One award.
Criteria: Whatcom Community College student continuing to four-year college.

Gig Harbor Branch

Gig Harbor AAUW Branch Scholarship. Two awards.
Criteria: High School student or woman with AA returning to four-year college/university.

Puyallup Valley Branch

Puyallup Valley Branch AAUW Innovative Teaching Grants have been suspended for review.

Tacoma Branch

Tacoma Branch AAUW Scholarship, $1,000. Two or three awards given each year.
Criteria: Applicants must be women enrolled at the junior, senior, or graduate level of a Tacoma-based four-year accredited college or university and demonstrate scholarship and leadership ability balanced with an academic core.

Thurston County

Olympia Branch

Issaquah AAUW Branch Scholarship, $1,000. One award.
Criteria: Applicant must demonstrate financial need, be female Bellevue Community College student 25 years or older. Applicant must be a woman in transition, changing job fields, displaced homemaker, or displaced worker.

Kirkland-Redmond Branch

Kirkland-Redmond AAUW Branch Scholarship, $750. One award.
Criteria: High school girl in Lake Washington School District. Application.

Lake Washington Branch

Lake Washington AAUW Grant, $2,500 total available.
Criteria: For use by individuals or organizations for educational or equity projects that will benefit the community.

Seattle, Inc. Branch

None available in 2007.

Southeast King County Branch

Southeast King County AAUW Branch, $1,500. Two awards.
Criteria: Woman attending college in junior or senior year and residing within the branch area (SE King County).

Snohomish County - South

Edmonds Branch

Edmonds AAUW Branch Edyth Henderson Scholarship, $1,000. Two awards.
Criteria: Two senior girls at any of five high schools in branch area who excelled in mathematics, science, or technology and demonstrated school and community activities

Wenatchee Branch AAUW Dorothy Prewitt Pohlman Scholarship, $1,500. Two awards.
Criteria: Woman who have or are completing their two-year degree from Wenatchee Valley College and attending or will be attending a four-year school in the state of Washington.

Okanogan County

Walla Walla County

Walla Walla Branch

Walla Walla Branch Scholarship, $500-$1,000. Two awards.
Criteria: Woman returning to college after interruption in her education; resident in branch area (Dayton, Waitsburg, Milton-Freewater.

Walla Walla Branch sponsors the Dina Baker American Fellowship #4202, available through national AAUW Educational Foundation.

Yakima County

Yakima Branch

Yakima Branch AAUW Scholarship, $500. One award.
Criteria: Female returning to education after a break in her education.

Criteria: A young woman, graduate of Ritzville High School, entering her third year of college/university majoring in mathematics, science or technology; is eligible for this award.

Columbia County

Dayton Branch

Dayton Branch AAUW Scholarship, $300. One award.
Criteria: Completion of one term of college before receiving scholarship funds, financial need, and GPA of 3.4 or better.

Spokane County

Spokane Branch

Spokane Branch Scholarship, $2,000. Three awards.
Criteria: Woman over 25 and fulltime student attending any college or university in Spokane County

Stevens County

Colville Branch

Colville Branch AAUW Scholarship, $500. One award.
Criteria: Recipient of the AAUW Scholars Recognition Program in mathematics, science, or technology from Columbia, Colville, Inchelium, Jenkins, Kettle Falls, Mary Walker, and Northport High Schools Essay required.

Whitman County

Palouse-Garfield Branch

Palouse-Garfield AAUW Scholarship, $100 and $200.
Criteria: Applicant must be a recipient of the AAUW Scholars Recognition Program in mathematics, science, or technology.
