Women's History Project

In 2010, Washington will celebrate the centennial of women's suffrage in the state.  During this long history, AAUW women made a huge contribution to the women's movement. 

The Washington Women's History Consortium is working to preserve and make available the records of women's history in Washington.  AAUW-WA will be initiating several projects across the state to coincide with the work of the Consortium.  One of these projects will be to encourage AAUW branches to catalogue their important branch documents so that future generations can appreciate the contribution that AAUW women have made in our local communities.   For further information about the state's women in history initiatives, email historian@aauw-wa.org.
