BRANCH PROJECTS
Education & Equity
Scholar Recognition. High School Scholars Recognition Program recognized girls from Colville, Columbia, Inchelium, Jenkins, Kettle Falls, Mary Walker, Northport, and Selkirk High Schools for excellence in math, science, and technology. One scholarship for $750 and one for $500 were given to two Juniors.
Stewards of Children. Branch members assist Rural Resources in finding audiences for the Stewards of Children program. This program provides tools for individuals and groups to provide a safe environment for children throughout our community. Groups from 4 people to 16 are welcome. If you have a larger organization, multiple presentations can be provided.

Candidate's Night - October 8, 7 p.m. Stevens' County Courthouse Commissioner's Hearing Room
Fundraising
The Joy of Gardening- Garden Tour: Another great tour occured on July 17 with $1,200 raised for local scholarships.
The Coffeehouse - November 12, 7 - 10 p.m. at the Elks Lodge.
Annual Educational Foundation Holiday FUNdraiser: December 5, 2010, 4 - 7 p.m. at Beverly Greenslade's house.
CONTRIBUTIONS
Over $600 to Educational Foundation
Over $200 to Legal Advocacy Fund
Awarded $1,250 to two area high school girls.
Supported the Libraries of Stevens County addition of math and science to Summer Reading with a grant of $1,000.

September 16, 6 p.m. - Membership Potluck at Leslie Water's home. Topic will be Stevens County Rural Library District Lid Lift request for the November election.
October 14, 7 p.m. - Disaster in the Gulf by Ron Collins at the home of Ron and Jenna Collins.
January 22, 7 p.m. - Book Share at Tricia Woods' home.
February 17, 7 p.m. - Travel Share at Terri Elder's home.
March 17, 7 p.m. - Women's History/Herstory Month at Jackie McGregor's home.
April 15 - Vintage Spirits
May 20, 7 p.m. - Art of the Colville Valley at Beverly Greenslade's home.
June 16, 6 p.m. - End of year potluck at Sandy Moore's home.
