BRANCH MISSION STATEMENT
With education as the cornerstone, the Lake Washington Branch fosters personal growth and friendships that empower members to impact the community and achieve equity for women and girls.
ABOUT US
The Lake Washington branch of AAUW was founded in 1940 by a group of women from the Bellevue and Mercer Island area of Puget Sound.
Our members value education and equal rights for women and girls, but making connections with other women for friendships and intellectual stimulation is still an important reason women join us. Since the early days of our branch, we have grown to a membership of over 125 people (see website).
MEETING INFORMATION
Monthly Meetings start at 9:15 AM with coffee, then 9:45 AM for a business meeting, and then at 10:30 AM there is a planned program. All held on the 2nd Wednesday in September, October, November, January, February, March, April, and May. We have a special event in December which will be announced as well as other programs and activities (see website).

If you find it more comfortable to park close to the building, you may proceed to the church's driveway, parking to the left of the building complex. There are spaces designed for handicapped access, as well as several non-handicapped ones. The lower lot is a gravel lot so may want to wear appropriate footwear. From there, proceed up the gravel path to the main building. We meet in the North Room of the main sanctuary building.
