·        Expanding Your Horizons conferences nurture girls' interest in science and math courses to encourage them to consider careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).   Both high school and middle school conferences are held at Bellevue College, Bellevue, Washington. For more information: http://eyh.pugetsoundcenter.org/

2010 - 2011 Branch Programs
 

Branch meetings are held evenings of the fourth Thursday of each month during fall and spring and Saturday mornings during the winter months.   We use several different meeting rooms in downtown Issaquah so the location of the meeting can vary.  Please see the calendar below for more information.  
            
Sept 23 – Fall Potluck and Membership Drive at KCLS Service Center. Pot luck starts at 6:00.  
                Interest group displays and sign-ups will be available.
 
Oct 28 –  Mary Ann Sanelli discusses her book Among Friends. Business meeting starts at 7:00 in
               the Eagle Room.  Short presentation on AAUW Funds.
                                                                       
Dec 4 –  Cheryl Vermilyea, from Bellevue College, presentation on their new Career Pathways 
              program,  academic opportunities in STEM that don't require a four year degree. 
              Business meeting starts at  10:00 am in the Eagle Room.
 
Jan 15 - Scott Garrepy, Director of Corporate Relations | Director of Development for 
             International Programs, Washington State University presents the Ripple Effect. Business
             meeting starts at 10:00 am. Location TBD.
 
Feb 26  – Barbara Langdon, Director, Eastside Domestic Violence Program, will discuss how EDVP
               helps women get into the work force after leaving an abusive situation.  Short  
               presentation on EYH.   Business meeting starts at 10:00 am. Location TBD.
 
Mar 24 –  Erica Maniez, Issaquah Historical Society, presents "personalities" from Issaquah's early 
                days. Short presentation on local scholarship and HS recognition. Business meeting
                starts at 7:00 pm. Location TBD.
 
Apr 28  – High School STEM recognition program and business meeting. Kat Hughes presentation 
               on Why So Few?. Business meeting starts at 7:00 pm.  Location TBD.
 
May 26 - Cathryne Jordan, UW's WiSE program coordinator, will bring an additional staff member
               and students do discuss how the program impacts them. Recognition of Bellevue College
               scholarship recipients. Business meeting starts at 7:00 pm.  Location TBD

              KCLS Service Center is located at 960 Newport Way NW, Issaquah (behind Target)
              Eagle Room is in the Issaquah Police Station at 130 E Sunset Way, Issaquah
